sorry to hear you are ill. hope it's nothing serious. get well, make music, make sawdust, shavings, sanding dust, finish odours, etc., etc., etc.

what to you do to pay for your addictions, i.e. inter alia sui generis those things mentioned above?(hope my latin isn't to far off)

Nothing serious just some bug. It tends to happen around here when you ride public transportation. I work for the government (EPA) as an Entomologist in the Office of Pesticide Programs. Wish building could become more than a hobby but I've got to work and pay taxes so I can get paid.
